The Andes are a mountain range running alongside the Pacific coast of South America. They are the longest mountain range in the world, and among the tallest. The highest peak, Aconcagua in Argentina, is approximately 22,000 feet high. The range also includes the notable peaks of Chimborazo in Ecuador, Pico Bolivar in Colombia, and Huascaran in Peru. The Andes run through Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, and Argentina.
